Enjoy all the fun of the fair

Traditional seaside fun for all the family. Rollercoaster rides (you can hear the screams as you queue for your trip on the seaside railway and watch the terrified faces as they hurtle past!), cup and saucers ride for the younger ones, and much more. Ride the light railway

The narrow gauge Hayling railway runs along the beach seafront from Eastoke corner to Beachlands. The train departs every 45 minutes, starting at 11am each morning offering a 10 minute ride along the central seafront area of Hayling.

Fish & chips on beach

A visit to the seaside is not complete until you have had fish and chips on the seafront. Grab yourself a bag of chips (plenty of salt and vinegar), a spot with a view and watch out for the seagulls!

Sandcastles!

We think that the best place for sandcastles is West Beachlands when the tide is coming in. At low tide miles of sand is exposed that is great for building your fortifications. However build them fast before the returning tide knocks them down again.

Play a game of beach volleyball

Dotted along the seafront are various free play facilities including a beach volleyball court (near the funfair). If volleyball isn’t your thing let the children lose on one of the adventure play areas whilst you take in the sun!
