As reported on www.hayling.co.uk a body was pulled from the mudflats in Langstone Harbour last Thursday. At the time details surrounding the incident were unclear.
Its now been confirmed that Paul Monk 20 from Havant was found shortly before midday on Thursday 21 March. Police are not treating the death as suspicious. A post mortem will carried out at a later date to determine the exact cause of death.
Tributes have been flooding in from friends and people who knew Mr Monk and have been posted on Facebook.
Paul is was described as a legend by Liam Howes a radio presenter for Portsmouth based Express FM.
Liam Howes said: Anyone from Oaklands School will tell you Paul is a legend. He always had a smile on his face he was such a popular guy. He will be sorely missed I can promise you that.
