How do you fancy kitesurfing 45 miles along the coast between Hayling and Lancing? Not your cup of tea? This is exactly what three building maintenance company directors are planning on doing in September.
All for a good cause the Big Charity Downwinder is aiming to set a new kitesurfing world record while raising cash for Snow Camp a youth charity that uses outdoor sports to support inner city young people Asthma UK and the Brain Tumour Charity.
Richard Apperly Greg Say and Mark Swaine will be attempting this mammoth coastal journey as soon as weather conditions look favourable. With a support team of five friends the kitesurfers will be trying to raise as much money as possibly for the charities which are close to all the riders hearts.
The three kiters said: We will be putting in every effort to maximise our team and individual results however the main objective is to raise as much money as we can for the charities which are personal to all of us.
For anyone thinking of supporting the event then the two fund raising pages are now live.
