With visitors coming from the surrounding area not just Hayling Island the Three Churches Summer Fete was a roaring success last Wednesday.

The good weather and want of some old fashioned family fun ensured a healthy turnout of visitors who could enjoy the many attractions on offer – great for both old and young. Egyptian dancers Punch and Judy shows face painting and the extremely fun plate smashing stall were all on offer at Hayling Park in West Town.

The buzzing atmosphere attracted many different people including local councillors. Hayling East representative Leah Turner made an appearance and she said: It was brilliant. You could have ice-cream or hot dogs.

They had a magician and Punch and Judy for the children. There were Egyptian dancers. It was opened by the Mayor Paul Buckley. It was very busy and not just Hayling people people came from round the area.

Also on hand during the event were police and first responders a voluntary service run by members of the local churches.

The event raises money for St Marys St Andrews and St Peters – the Three Churches Fete goes from strength to strength. Circumstance allowing it should return again next year.
