The Portsmouth News is reporting four care workers have been charged with illtreating a 75 year old elderly female resident of Pear Tree Lodge care home Hayling Island.
Amy Marie Byrne 26 Katie Middleton 31 Carol Shann 60 and Marie Abolins have all been accused of illtreatment and willful neglect contrary to the Mental Capacity Act 2005. The four pleaded not guilty while appearing before magistrates on Friday April 19. The case will now be heard at Portsmouth buykeppraonlinenow.com Crown Court on June 10.
The offences are alleged to have taken place between September 27 and October 3 and the women are on conditional bail until due back in court.
