Haylings Daring Doris as shes affectionately known will be making her centenary abseil at the Spinnaker Tower on March 17. Many will be aware of DDs thirst for a thrill while helping raise funds for charity and shes stepping up once again.

Rowans Hospice is hoping others will take the leap of faith and follow Doris as she descends the 100m of this iconic landmark. The abseil challenge runs over two days and has 40 spaces up for grabs allocated on a first come first serve basis. Along with Doris ITV presenter Fred Dinenage has confirmed his spot.

Rowans Hospice fundraiser Sophie Gunner said: Doris is an inspiration to everyone.
