With seaside crime dramas seemingly all the rage at the moment (think ITVs Dorset based Broadchurch) Haylings own Pauline Rowson could see her DI Andy Horton novels receiving the same treatment.
The writer is currently in negotiations with Lime Pictures about bringing her characters to the big screen. All the action takes place in and around Portsmouth Langstone and Chichester. Itll therefore be interesting for Hayling residents if the series of 11 novels does make it to TV.
Living on a yacht in Southsea Marina riding a motorbike and having a seriously complicated personal life DI Andy Horton is being touted as a breath of fresh air for the TV detective genre. Lime Pictures is confident the stories are strong enough to attract a stellar cast although no details have been given yet.
