Haylings strip of shingle beach between the fun fair and Hayling Island Golf Club has once again been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag award. As a Blue Flag holder for the last 24 years Hayling boasts clean sea water – safe for bathers – while demonstrating environmental awareness through management and education.
Throughout the summer water quality is constantly tested to make sure the strict guidelines are adhered to. Holding the Blue Flag award for the last 24 years shows Hayling is committed to encouraging visitors and residents alike to make use of this fabulous natural resource.
Tony Briggs Environment and Neighbourhood Quality Cllr said: We are proud to receive this prestigious award once again for Hayling Island. This great achievement is testament to all the hard work that has gone into maintaining such high standards year after year.
