A Hayling woman has taken the bull by the horns after spotting a gap in the market and set up the Hayling Island Job Club.
With the economic downturn came a whole raft of depleting employment opportunities both full and part time. The aim of the job club is simple: Pinpoint areas of employment and source suitable positions thereby helping Hayling locals get back to work or find their first job. The Hayling Job Club is asking local business heads to step forward with information relating to any opportunities and hopes to build a reliable and extensive network.
Michelle Buglass the founding member of the Hayling Job Club says: Through my years in life I have gained experience in many areas some good some not so good. All this experience has got me to this point now. With a little help we could bring job seekers through the door and give them guidance and advice during a time that can be very frustrating. The hope is to make the job search process a little less daunting while giving people confidence.
We would also like to put out an appeal to island business owners looking to fill their vacancies. If they could get in touch with employment information we can then pass this on to prospective candidates.
The job club will be based at the Hayling Community Centre and invites attendees to come along with their CV covering letter and job search criteria. The club will be open on Wednesdays between 10am-12pm. Email jobclubhayling@gmail.com for more.
