Earlier in the year suggested plans of turning a 46 acre stretch of land next to West Lane into a solar farm were revealed. Its now emerged that Hive Energy will be carrying out impact surveys to see how the proposed venture will affect local wild and bird life.
Theres still positivity from the company in terms of getting the project off the ground but the surveys have to be first completed to understand animal behaviour. This information will then determine how the company and planning authorities can move forwards.
If the site were to go ahead then the solar panels would be placed on land belonging to Manor Farm. If proposals are to be submitted then it wont be before April 2015.
