It is with very much regret that Councillor David Collins has decided to resign from his Cabinet post as Portfolio Holder for Environment and Neighbourhood Services. The reasons for his resignation are through his own personal circumstances.
Councillor David Collins has been held in the highest regard over the years as a Cabinet Member working in a very hard in a challenging portfolio within the Environment and Neighbourhood arena. It is within this area that his past experience and expertise has ensured that both our residents and our staff have been represented in the most efficient fair and robust fashion.
Leader of the Council Councillor Michael Cheshire said “I would like to thank Councillor Collins for all that he has done whilst being a Cabinet member he will be greatly missed however we still look forward to working with him as a Ward Councillor”
Councillor Tony Briggs will take the Cabinet Lead on all of Councillor David Collins responsibilities within the Environment and Neighbourhood Quality portfolio forthwith in addition to his responsibilities for Operational Services and Deputy Leader of the Council.
