September/October this year will see kitesurfers from across the land invade Haylings seafront once again. 2014 saw the biggest turn out of riders to date all vying to break the world record for most amount of kiters covering a mile long stretch.

Running on a rolling date format to ensure the best conditions the Virgin Kitesurfing Armada is earmarked for the start of autumn. During 2014s event there was a large festival running in conjunction with the on water action. Equipment exhibitors live music pro chats and a huge Saturday night party kept spectators entertained in between salt water shenanigans. Event director Dan Charlish says he expects 2015 to bigger and better than last.

With the support of Virgin and Sir Richard Branson the concept is in good hands and helps solidify Haylings profile as a watersports mecca.

Recently Dan and his team donated a 5000 cheque to Hayling Island RNLI which was presented to Jonathan Bradbury.
