A possible solar energy site is being considered for commercial power generation in the fields next to West Lane. The venture is being proposed by a private third party and not Havant Borough Council.
Councillor Andy Lenghan said: I will be watching this closely and will decide if it is good for Hayling as and when we do receive an application. I initially have mixed feelings as West Lane is a picture in the growing season.
