There is still time for owners and drivers to register their classic vehicle for the annual Mayor of Havants Charity Classic Vehicle Run.
On Sunday 13th April 2014 cars motorbikes and commercial vehicles that pre-date 1988 will assemble at the Public Service Plaza Car Park from 9.30am and be flagged off by the Mayor of Havant Cllr Paul Buckley from around 10am to commence the 10th Annual Classic Vehicle Run.
Participating vehicles will travel through Hampshires beautiful countryside before returning to the Public Service Plaza where vehicles are expected to arrive from midday. They will then be on view for people to see as part of a family fun day.
The Family Fun Day will commence from 12 noon with various activities planned and the band Isthison will provide musical entertainment.
The main purpose of the day is to raise funds for the Mayors Charity Appeal Fund supporting the Stroke Association Combat Stress and the Portsmouth and District branch of Relate.
Councillor Paul Buckley said This is always a very popular and fun event. Last year over 160 vehicles participated in the Charity Classic Vehicle Run and we look forward to viewing this years entries as some vehicles are quite rare and unique. The event is free however a donation to the Mayors Charity Appeal is very much appreciated.
All vehicle owners must pre-register for the event by contacting Anne Thurlow Mayors Secretary either by telephone on 023 9244 6152 or by emailing anne.thurlow@havant.gov.uk
