Copse Lane car park located close to Stoke Fruit Farm was recently put up for sale. After a post in a related forum thread by Councillor Andy Lenaghan it seems as if the securing of another five year lease for car parking has been agreed although provisionally in the short term.
Negotiations took place between trustees agents and the council with an agreement reached keeping the area open for public parking during the day. Overnight will likely require permits an outcome which was given approval by local residents in the area.
The councils legal team is currently completing the new lease.
