The Hayling Island Age Concern Luncheon Club is appealing for minibus volunteers to step forward. Two current helpers are no longer able to commit and replacements are therefore urgently needed.

The service collects elderly residents on Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays escorting them to Webb Lane where the Age Concern Luncheon Club meets. Helpers assist getting them on and off the bus.

Anyone under the age of 70 holding a normal driving licence that includes class D1 vehicles should also get in touch as you could be considered for minibus driving duties.

Currently the urgency is for someone to be available on alternate Thursdays between 0945 and approximately 1430 although other days are available. Holiday and sickness cover is also needed. As part of the deal volunteers will get a cooked lunch on Tuesday and Thursday with a snack on Monday.
