Members of the Virgin Kitesurfing Armada team which took place on Hayling last year have donated 5000 to the RNLI. Dan Charlish (director of the Virgin Kitesurfing Armada) and co visited the Hayling lifeboat station where they presented the cheque to Jonathan Bradbury.

Mr Bradbury said: We want to say a sincere thank you to all the kitesurfers who participated in the Armada and raised this fantastic amount. We are currently aiming to kit out the entire crew here with new drysuits specialist helmets and gloves and this www.buyambienguide.com will go a long way to achieving this goal making us more effective on the water in rescue situations.

The Virgin Kitesurfing Armada is a gathering of kitesurfers aiming to break the record for numbers of participants on the water. In 2014 the national record was broken but the global number was just missed (the SUP World Record was completed however). The event will be back in 2015 – bigger and better than before.
