Its been quite a year for Haylings James Dinsmore. Having become a proud father James then went on to defend his National Slalom Windsurfing title retaining the crown for a second year running.
Having battled through each round facing off against some tough competition including the Isle of Wights Ross Williams (no stranger to podiums) James eventually took home the bacon a few weeks ago at the final event in Weymouth.
But it doesnt stop there. James is now up for the UKWAs Windsurfer of the Year Award with voting now open. This gives the public an opportunity to say who they think is the best performing athlete of the year.
For those who know James theyll be aware of his tireless devotion to the sport. Juggling a busy professional job as a medical professional James trains for his events on Hayling in between shifts. He gives back to the sport by helping organise the regular summer Hayling slalom windsurfing get togethers. Youll find James down on the shingle passing on his extensive knowledge and helping others nail down essential skills during these times.
