Hayling residents are being encouraged to give blood ahead of an awareness week next month. National Blood Week is happening on June 10 June 16 and the drive is hoping to entice more people to come along and give blood.

Lead donor relations manager for the NHS John Canning said: During this years National Blood Week we are hoping to encourage people who have never given blood before to commit to give blood for the first-time and to remind those who have not given for some time to come back and donate. Please come and help us to provide the blood that hospitals and their patients need. A donor saves and improves lives every time they donate and you could too.

The next date for the diary will be –

Wednesday June 5 Hayling Island Community Centre Station Road Hayling Island from 1.30pm to 3.25pm and 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
