One of Haylings oldest residents celebrated her 100th birthday with friends and relatives travelling to the island for Mrs Dackes big one.
Amidst flowers presents and cake was a card from the Queen recognising this milestone in Doris life. Originally born in Harlesden North London Doris moved to Hayling in 2001 to be closer to family. Now residing in the Gorseway Care Home; Doris can enjoy the scenery and landscaped gardens.
During her birthday Doris quaffed a couple of glasses of bubbly and had a nibble or two of birthday cake. Her two sons Chris and John were in attendance to celebrate along with five grandchildren and one great grandson.
