Charlotte Cornelius a fashion designer from Hayling Island was recently honoured for her work after winning the Women in Fashion award at the News Woman of the Year Awards 2013.
One of the driving forces behind May Day Arts Trail Mrs Cornelius has over 20 years in the fashion industry. Her stunning one off pieces of jewellery are highly regarded with the precious stones she uses being ethically sourced and timeless.
She said she was very flattered to receive the award and didnt expect to win. Charlotte felt very honoured and admitted that the award will help her in the pursuit of new business. She also hinted at some new plans which will be announced in December.
Cheryl Diment another successful Hayling based designer was also in the running. Cheryl was highly commended for her range of childrens clothes she creates for special occasions such as proms weddings and christenings.
