This weekend as many will be aware saw some fantastic weather which makes getting outdoors all the more appealing. So if youre the organiser of a charity walk then youll no doubt count your blessings that Mother Nature decided to play ball.
Elaine Shimbart Mayoress of Havant joined a throng of Hindu worshippers for a 10km walk along the Hayling Billy Trail. This year the event raised in excess of 2000 for international aid charity Baps disabled childrens organisation Kids and Smile Care and Support who are based in Hampshire.
The event was arranged by Praful Thacker and he had this to say about this years walk: We take this route every year and its good because its safe for the children.
We are a small local Hindu temple and we do a lot of charity work to support local and national charities.
