Following on from Havant Borough Councils recent meeting on February 5 there has been an in principal request for a site located at Eastoke to be ear marked as the Hayling Seaside Railway depots new home.
After a lease extension on the current spot behind Funland Amusements the clock has been ticking for the attraction to find a new and more permanent location. Subject to approval its been suggested that the corner car park at Eastoke could be considered.
The Hayling Seaside Railway is now working with the council officers and island residents to finalise plans and see if an agreement can be reached. Nothing has been set in stone but its hoped a mutual decision can be finalised that allows the continued operation of the popular Hayling attraction.
