In celebration of Diwali pupils from Mill Rythe Infant School have been learning how to dance in a Bollywood fashion and experiencing how the Hindu festival is celebrated.
Taking part in dance workshops the pupils showed off their newly learned dancing skills to each other at the end of their time being taught.

Sarah Court head teacher explained how the school wanted to celebrate different cultures and religions. They hired a dancer who was experience in the Bollywood style who showed the children some moves which is hoped will help in further understanding of other cultures and practices.

Mrs Court believes that understanding how alternative religions and cultures celebrate is key to the pupils development. She added: They thoroughly enjoyed that. They particularly enjoyed watching each others dance routines.
