Hayling.co.uk posted a story recently about subsidised prices for Hayling residents with watersports taster sessions at this years National Watersports Festival. Event organiser Allan Cross has been back in touch to tell us that kayak slots are still available for those who fancy having a go at NWF 2013 which hits Beachlands between August 30 September 1.

Out of all sports on offer (windsurfing kitesurfing stand up paddle boarding) its kayaking that has the quickest plug n play potential. After a brief introduction to your equipment a few pointers in how to propel your craft forwards backwards and turning youre pretty much good to go. Under the watchful eye of professional coaches youll be up and paddling in no time.

Hayling is perfect for all watersports but conditions for kayaking are particularly good especially at high tide.

The two harbours (Chichester and Langstone) are great for exploring and a kayak is the ideal craft for exploring all those tucked away nooks that many just dont get the opportunity to see. Having the opportunity to get up close with the abundant marine and wildlife is also an experience that lends itself to yakking.

If youve yet to experience kayaking and fancy having a go then get yourself over the National Watersports website for more information on how you can get involved.
