HOPEHIV is a London based charity (www.hopehiv.org) that supports young people in sub-Saharan Africa who have been orphaned or affected by HIV/AIDs. In 2011 Peter McQuade founder of the Hayling Charity Cycle Ride (www.hayling-cycle-ride.org.uk) offered the organisations expertise gathered from nearly three decades of fund raising bike events to help the charity stage their own ride. The event proved a great success and the London to Hayling is now in its third year with this years ride taking place on September 8th

Mark Glen CEO of HOPEHIV who is confident that this will be the best event yet says that Hayling Cycle Rides help has been invaluable. We really appreciate their support. This has turned into a major annual fundraiser for us and we simply could not have done it without them. Its quite impressive to think that not only have they organised their own annual own ride but also found time to help us in this invaluable way Peter McQuade is very proud of the way his cycling friends and colleagues have rallied around. Its so satisfying to see that much of the same spirit that has lead to us raising over 1300000 on our own rides has also helped HOPEHIV to generate valuable income. Two years ago I visited Malawi and saw at first hand some the great work that they are doing to give hope to thousands of young people. The money raised by this years ride will help many more

Over 80 riders are expected to set off from Wimbledon Common on Sunday 8th September and finish at the Langstone Hotel . For more information please visit the
