Following on from the Southern Co-operatives confirmed donation of 25000 last year (that will be paid in December this year) the Play Parks for Hayling charity has been given an additional cash boost of 35000 from Veolia Environment Trust. This now means work can commence at the St Andrews Road site and the facility could be n use by the summer.
Charity treasurer and councillor Leah Turner explained that final designs now have to be approved but work could start this spring. She added that enough cash is now in the bank to start thinking about the second site although which one is to be decided.
