A well-used Hayling ATM machine was the target of fraudsters after a card skimming device was spotted at the Station Road Tesco ATM.
The fraudulent device was found attached to the cash point on Tuesday by staff of the supermarket. Police are suggesting it may have been operational for at least 24 hours. Haylings Neighbourhood Policing Team also said those responsible wont have access to the stolen data. These machines arent operated wirelessly fraudsters have to collect the device and rip the information from them they explained.
Crime officers currently have the skimming machine and are testing it while looking at CCTV footage to see if the offenders can be identified.
