A street collection earlier this year held by the Hayling branch of the Stubbington Ark (an organisation committed to raising funds for abandoned animals) raised a whopping 617. This was then added to after a coffee morning held at the URC increased the total by 313.
The group and is now looking ahead to the annual Wag Walk which takes place along the seafront on April 27. The ever popular television presenter Fred Dinenage will be joining the volunteers and their canine chums which starts from Coastguards Cottage Bound Lane and kicks off at 10.30am.
