As part of the Hayling Playing on the Plaza summer event schedule Sunday 7th July will see the Ready to Rock School join in with the fun.
Featuring band members aged between 5 17 and playing recognisable tunes from Foo Fighters Thin Lizzy Rise Against Muse Black Crowes The Scorpions Pearl Jam and Led Zeppelin to name but a few. Fronted by rock vocalist Mark Thompson Smith the young troupe of rockers will be belting out the music to a hopefully packed house.
Mark said:My young students from Hayling are particularly excited to be involved with Playing On The Plaza and our bands from our Havant Waterlooville Portsmouth and Petersfield schools have planned five amazing hours of brilliant rock music to play for everyone. Its all for free on the day from 1pm but we are collecting on behalf of The Childrens Society too so all donations will be greatly appreciated…its going to be a great day!
