While staying with families in the Portsmouth and Havant area a group of 12 children from Chernobyl paid a visit to Hayling where they were entertained at Northney Farm.

Chernobyl Childrens Life Line charity chaperoned the group while they got to experience this part of Hampshire.

The children were taken for a ride on a tractor and had the opportunity to eat freshly made ice cream produced on the farm.

Coordinator for the southern arm of the charity Marion Stapley said: We had a brilliant time. The children loved it. As a charity we rely on the kindness of other people to make the childrens time here special.
