Alan Priddys bid to circumnavigate the world in a super powerboat has been given a further lift with his announcement the vessel will be powered by an eco-fuel. SulNOx Fuel Fusions have invented a mixture of diesel water and emulsifier and its this that will provide the energy needed for the world record bid.

The boat is set to be manufactured on Hayling Island and smash the current round the world record of 60 days – shaving this to 53. With improved green credentials its hoped the project will garner yet more support and interest.

A date for the world record attempt has been set for November 2015 the boat will cost 3.8m to manufacture and will be built by ABC Marine who are based at Mill Rythe Lane.
