The National Watersports Festival happens every year at West Beachlands and 2013 saw the biggest gathering of enthusiasts brands and companies so far. All turned out for what organiser Allan Cross describes as the event of the year.
Allan has been in touch to let us know that Havant Borough Council has now agreed to the proposal of hosting the NWF for the next three years great news for the island residents and the local economy. Many businesses benefit from the festival with shops accommodation and various services all doing well from the many visitors that descend on Hayling during the weekend.
2013 featured subsidised taster sessions for island residents with the idea of getting locals involved in all the activities even without any prior experience. Allan strives to make the NWF all inclusive whatever your age level of skill and/or previous time on the water.
Dates for your 2014 diary will be September 5-7 and next year will continue to build on the success the event experienced back at the end of this summer. If you didnt get the chance to attend the National Watersports Festival then therell be plenty of opportunity moving forwards.
