The Hayling Ferry continues to be dogged with problems with passengers facing yet another week of no service due to ongoing issues. For over six weeks the ferry has been out of action due to necessary maintenance work and legal red tape.

Further delays are due to the Pride of Hayling not being ready for inspection by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. Until this happens there will be no ferry running between Hayling and Eastney.

The 65 seat vessel was expected to have been back on the water but due to this hiccup its expected to be another week before the ferry resumes. Hayling Ferry owner Tina Edwards has expressed her frustration at loss of revenue expensive repair coasts and the councils lack of financial support. She also thanked those whove stuck by the Hayling Ferry and continue to support it and apologised for the inconvenience.
