Residents who have a real Christmas tree can recycle it quite easily.
Anyone who is already signed up to Havant Borough Councils Garden Waste Collection Service can simply cut their tree into manageable pieces ensuring the truck is no larger than 9cm in diameter and place it into their Garden Waste sack or bin. Collections will resume on Monday 5th January 2015.
You can also recycle your Christmas tree easily by taking it to the Household Waste Recycling Centre in Havant Hayling Island or Waterlooville open seven days a week where it will be turned into compost.
