Presentation of cheque to Hannahs Holiday Home Appeal (pic available)
A cheque for 4200 half the proceeds of Havant Rotarys charity auction held at Hayling Island Community Hall was handed over for Hannahs Holiday Homes appeal on October 24.
The remainder of the auction proceeds have gone to the clubs other chosen charities.
The President Stan Pike (right) and club Treasurer Colin Hunt met with organiser Pam Westbrook (pictured second right) and the appeal treasurer her mother-in-law Carolyn Westbrook at Parkdean Holiday Village on Hayling Island for the presentation.
The fund was set up in memory of Pams daughter Hannah who died of cancer. The mobile home is one of two already managed by the appeal the first being in the New Forest. A third is planned.
The accommodation within easy reach of hospitals is offered free of charge for breaks to families with children with life-threatening illnesses.
Stan said after being shown round the Hayling Island home: I was very impressed by the facilities provided both within the holiday home and by the holiday site. Our thanks go to all those who contributed items and promises to the auction and bid for the lots.
