Following on from the Hayling residents concerted attempt started by this forum to buy and stop development of this land was thwarted by a developer it is back on the market at a greatly increased price. This seems odd as a planning application was never submitted.
As the price is so unreasonable we feel unmoved to start the process over. The Hampshire County Council offices are aware of the residents concern and stated they would be considering any request from them to purchase the land for the benefit of the community.
HCC Councillor Frank Pearce a Hayling resident said he would approach the leader of the council regarding this matter. We sincerely hope he is successful and lets us know the result to be reported on Hayling.co.uk.
