UK beach-goers are being invited to take part in a new survey looking at how our nations beaches are being used. The survey aims to build up a better picture of how the UK public make use of our beaches and why they choose to use the beaches that they do.
The research is being carried out as a joint venture between Sitons a UK-based recreational paddling community website and Perception who an established paddling sports manufacturer with over 30 years experience in the industry.
The survey asks a few key questions covering where how and why participants last visited the beach. Information from the survey will also be used to build up a map of the UKs favourite beaches and what it is about those beaches that people love.
Living on an island that is notorious for watersports with busy roads in the Summer months and of course one of only 55 UK blue flag beaches what better way to get Hayling further up on the map than to shout about why we love our stomping ground?!
Not only this but by taking part in the survey you will be entered into a prize draw to win a Perception Scooter sit on top kayak. Whether youre already a keen paddler or have never even considered getting out on the water before having a kayak for the summer months is a great investment.
The survey is open to all UK residents and can be completed by visiting http://www.sitons.com/beachsurvey/. Entries close on August 15th 2013.
